昆明市沿革及其城镇体系发展方向的探讨

AN APPROACH INTO THE EVOLUTION OF KUNMING AND THE DEVELOPING TREND OF THE SYSTEM OF ITS CITIES AND TOWNS

昆明市是边疆多民族的云南省省会,是祖国西南门户,是全省的政治、经济、文化和交通中心,又是全国二十四个历史文化名城之一和发展中的理想的旅游城市,今后将成为我国和东南亚各国友好往来和经济贸易的重要门户。为在二十一世纪初,把昆明地区的城镇建设成一个能实现昆明经济、社会、科技发展战略所确定的目标,务必处理好五个问题。在此基础上,力争实现昆明城镇体系建设发展的三个具体的战略目标。

Kunming city is the capital of Yunnan Provice and the Southwest door of China, the economic, political, cultural and transportation centre of the provice. It's also one of 24 famous cities of historic and cultural interests in China and a fine developing tourism city It's the passenge of the second Silk Road in Chinese history and will be the possible door of the friedly communications of economy and trade among china and Southeast Aisa countries. Five problems should be solved properly for constructing the cities and towns in Kunming region to fulfil the goals formulated by the economic, social and scientific development strategy of Kunming city, and supply optimum substantial conditions for the construction of bi-civilizations. on the basis of solving five problems, three concrete strategic goals will be worked hard for to fulfil. In order to supply the living environment of comfortable level and an modern urban system for urban residents Scientific and modern urban should be adopted as a guidcline in studying and formulating the urban system development strategy of Kunming city.
