Based on the theory of sociology of science, this paper analyzes the negative influences of too much information in the process of paper selection by the editors, paper submitting by the contributors, journal subscribing by the readers and also in the editing work itself. The conclusion of this paper is that no matter how important additional values could be produced from the author information, the academic quality is always the key factor of the academic journals. Any measures of adding the information that might hindering or influencing the fair assessment of the paper quality, are the infringements to the scientific spirits and purposes of academic journals. At last, three suggestions are put forward about recording the authors' information.
