Business contract is one form of communication in business affairs. This paper mainly deals with the features of English words in business contracts from seven aspects which are formal word ,term, archaic word, loanword, using synonym together, repeating word and abbreviation with examples taken from English translation of business contracts. In explicating this point, the author stresses that the features of English words in business contracts account for the distinctive translation.
