It is always regarded as a barrier of theory of practice for the teacher-school students with Guangdong Dialect to learn and speak Putonghua with correct and identifying initial consonants (of Chinese system). The present paper suggests that it is an efficient teaching method to use Cantonese and tongue-exercises to remove the difficulty.
