CLASSIFICATION OF THE GENUS GONATANTHUS

本文讨论了曲苞芋属(Gonatanthus)的研究历史、属的范围。该属在天南星科的自然系统中归属于芋亚科下的泉七族和泉七亚族。曲苞芋属与同一亚族的岩芋属Remusatia的区别在于植株开花时有叶同在,子房具基底胎座。曲苞芋属现含两种,即曲苞芋G.pumilus(D.Don)Engl.et Krause和本文描述的云南曲苞芋G.yunnanensis H.Li et A Hay。

The present paper deals with the taxonomical history and the range of Gonatanthus (Araceae) which in modified Engler's phylogenic system of Araceae which belongs to the subtribe Steudneriae of tribe Steudnereae from subfamily Ⅶ Colocasioideae. The subtribe Steuneriae includs 3 genera: Steudnera, Remusatia, Gonatanthus. The latter is distinguished from Remusatia by the combination of its inflorescences produced with the leaves and the unilocular ovaries with basal placentations. Two species of the genus Gonatanthus are introduced G. pumilus (D. Don) Engl. et Krause and a new species G. yunnanensis H. Li et A. Hay which is described and illustrated.
