The methods how to keep the balance among a series additives in metalworking fluids were discussed,such as hydrophile-lipophile balance(HLB) , the relation between EP property and corrision , buffer action ,the relations among lubricity , antirusting & cleaning , the balance of charges in solution etc.The experience to select the additives was introduced.
