ANOTHER POSSIBLE ZHUISHU(缀术) TO APPROXIMATE π

对祖冲之缀术求π之谜提出另外一种推测,认为缀术可能是建基于中国古代方程论上的一种形式级数的变换方法,这种方法用于招差可以推星,用于割圆可以求π.

The ZHUISHU with which ZU(祖冲之) got his π has aroused a number of remarks and all of them are partly consistent with the historical materials that exist.In this paper,another opinion is put forward to explain that the ZHUISHU is a kind of transformation of the key factors in formal series.In the operation,linear equations are essential.This method was suited to interpolation as well as cyclostomes,the former was to decide the movement of Jupiter and the latter was to decide the value of π.
