摘要
在分析嵌入式零树小波(EZW:EmbeddedZerotreeWavelet)编码算法的理论基础上,针对几年来出现的对EZW的改进,包括改变能量排序算法、引入频率优先性原则、修改嵌入式编码等具有代表性的算法进行了理论上的剖析,同时通过实验验证了改进算法的性能和特点。力图以较全的视角审视零树小波编码技术,以便更好地利用零树小波技术对视频图像进行压缩编码。
The EZW(Embedded Zerotree Wavelet) algorithm for image compression presented by Shpiro is discussed.The improvements of EZW includes changing of energy sorting algorithm,introducing of frequency priority principle,modifying embedded encoding strategy.At the same time,the performance and characteristics of each improved algorithm are proved through experiments.It is important to understand the zero-tree coding technique in nearly all angles for image compression and coding.
