徐达是我国古代一位有勇有谋、且能恰当运用兵法甚至有所创新的良将名帅。他在战役中以智取胜,或知己知彼,或不战而屈人之兵,或围点打援,或化敌为友、瓦解敌人军心等的战略战术,多次取胜,屡建奇功,而成为一代军事名家。

Xu Da, a famous general both brave and wise in ancient China, was good at applying the art of war skillfully and in a creative way. He made one victory after another and unusual contributions repeatedly in the battles by using the strategy and tactics of winning through wisdom, knowing both himself and the enemy, winning hands down, besieging a city to annihilate the enemy relief forces, turning the enemy into friends and destroying the enemy's morale, which had contributed to his position of a famous strategist of no equal of his time.
