新世纪的国际政治格局及其斗争异常复杂和尖锐,这种复杂和尖锐的表现形式与过去不甚相同。当前影响国际稳定的不定因素增多,但由于种种原因,和平与发展的时代主题没有改变。国际关系中的主要矛盾发生了显著转换,世界形势呈现出错综复杂的特点:大国关系、南北关系、社会主义与资本主义的关系都是在共存中竞争,在竞争中依存;世界多极化发展是大势所趋,但不会一帆风顺;世界各国政党政治更趋活跃,党际交往成为国家间交往的一条重要渠道。

The international political situation and its struggle in the new century are extremely complicated and tense,although the manifestation of complication and tension is not exactly like that of the past.At present,the indefinite factors,which will influence the global stability,are increasing.However,the theme of the times is still peace and development,which is not changed by reason of various causes.The main contradiction of international relation is varied strikingly,which makes the world take on complex situation.The relations between powers,between developing countries and developed countries and between socialism and capitalism,are competition in coexistence and dependence on each other in competition;the trend of the times is going toward multi-poles,but it is not plain sailing;party's politics all over the world is more active and party's contact is becoming an important diplomatic channel between nations.
