试评严复的洋教观

On YAN Fu's Viewpoint about Foreign Religions

严复发挥西学特长,对洋教入侵这一近代严重社会问题作了研究,提出切中时弊的看法,并做了大量的翻译介绍洋教问题的工作。填补了中国人这方面的空白。此贡献应予充分肯定。严复大胆探索寻找中西文化的契合点,主张吸收洋教传教的长处,建立符合中国特色的宗教信仰。这种爱国精神、人文精神,很有现实意义,值得崇敬。

YAN Fu,exerting his western knowledge, studied the serious social problem of the invasion of foreign teligions,presented the opininons cutting into the present-day evils,and did a lot of translatios introducing foreign trligions.His work that rillrd the blank study field in this respect must be rully acknowledged.YAN fu had been bravely exploring and searching the agreement betwen the CHinese and the western culturd,and advocated absorbung the strongpoint of foreign teluguious missionary work to establish a religion according with Chinese featuresr.His patriotism and humanism is practical and respectable.
