从介绍中介语石化现象的成因出发,分析了我国外语教学中应用交际法的一些误区,指出外语课堂教学中要注意交际能力培养与语言能力训练的平衡,过分强调交际能力而忽视语言能力会导致学习者中介语的石化。

The paper discusses some of the misconceptions of the application of the Communicative Approach in Chinese English language teaching context after a brief introduction to the cause of interlanguage fossilization. The author suggests that foreign language teachers should balance the training between communicative competence and linguistic competence in order to avoid accelerating fossilization.
