The umpiring work of basketball game is an essential part in basketball teaching,training and game organization.This paper discusses how to train and raise the students'umpiring ability according to the aim and the plan,so as to better implement the basketball teaching as a selective course and further promote the development of basketball sport in colleges and universities.
