The major factors affecting flowering of Phyllostachys praecox f. pervernalisChen et Yao are related to soil conditions, fertilizers, water supply, and management by man.It is capable to delay the flowering and to prolong the vegetative growth of Phyllostachyspraecox f. pervernalis chen et Yao by cutting off the flower-bearing bamboo without leaves,maintaining the flowering bamboo with leaves.
