This paper describes the technique of image retrieval based on global color and the algorithom to implement it,also shows the method of color space partition.the method of global color histogram charactoristic extraction and the retrieval algorithm based on global color histogram charactoristic. This algorithm has faster retrieval speed and higher rate of veracity. The paper also gives an image retrieval example.
