我国外语学界,长期以来重语言轻文化的态势应有改变。外语专业的学生仅有语言技能而缺乏文化学识等于有载体而无物可载。而今公共外语水平提高后外语专业的生存受到挑战,因此要刷新观念,对课程和教材进行改革,拓宽外语高学位和留学生培养方向,实行学分制,以培养学者型人才。

In the teaching of foreign language in China, The require mends of specialized student was only shess on the skill but ignorened learning of cultures. It must be reformed.If the specialized students who received only a good training of skills of language but few learning of culture is like that a man driving a good truck without anything on it. Besides that, the common-foreign language has made great progress and caused the challenge to existence of the specialized departments and colleges. The way to deal with the situation probably embraces 5 aspects such as renovating 3 concepts, reforming the curriculum, rewriting the new textbooks and widening the fields of fostering postgraduate including the visiting scholars abroad.
