摘要
本文试图在计算机帮助下,运用数据平滑和插值计算方法,对考试分数作机助的百分位等值,以建立两次考分之间不间断的对应关系。本文的基本思路是:先用数学方法直接对两个考试分数的百分位曲线作平滑拟合处理,并对异常的点作特别的修正,对修正之处要征询专家意见并评价其合理性。第二步,建立分数等值转换表,并在必要时作插值计算,使两个考试分数之间能建立起精确的转换关系。本研究对目前考试领域中普遍存在的主、客观题分数之间的等值问题,提出了具有重要参考价值的计算机化解决方案。
In an attempt to reduce the use of Multiple Choice items to improve the backwash effect of the test on classroom teaching, the College English Testing (CET) Committee has been exploring and working on new item forms to increase the weight of constructed-response items. New item forms that are ready to use following piloting include translation, compound dictation (CD) and short answer questions (SAQ). A problem of test equating arises since the present approach is based on IRT methods used for items scored correct/incorrect. A more traditional method of test equating is the Equipercentile Equating method, which should work well for the CET given the size of the student group used for equating.
This paper discusses a mathematical method of data smoothing and interpolation in CET score equipercentile equating with the help of computer. A continuous equating corresponding table is offered for the two CET-4 listening comprehension test scores.
