A Critique to Utopia of Praxis——And a Discussion with Mr Deng Xiaomang

新老实践美学把实践作为本体论的范畴,把实践当作自由的活动,以实践来说明审美的性质,实际上构造了一个“实践乌托邦”。实践本来是历史科学的概念,不具有哲学本体论的地位;而且作为异化的、现实的劳动,也不具有自由和超越的性质。因此,不能以实践作为美学的基本范畴,实践不能说明审美的本质。

Both old and new aesthetics of praxis take the praxis as an ontological category and a free activity, and explains the nature of aesthetics by praxis, and actually construct a 'utopia of praxis'. Praxis is originally a concept of history, and it does not have a position of philosophical ontology, while labor, as being alienated and realistic, does not have the nature of freedom and transcendence. Therefore, Praxis should not be a basic category of aesthetics, and could not explain the nature of aesthetics as well.
