On Mencius' "Policy of Benevolence" and Its Modern Value

孟子是我国古代伟大的思想家,他继承和发展了孔子的"仁"学,第一次提出"仁政",并发展成一个完整的封建政治哲学思想体系。孟子的"仁政"思想内涵丰富、影响深远,今天我们批判地吸收和继承这一思想的合理内核,对社会主义道德建设、党的建设等各方面仍具有非常重要的价值。

Mencius was a great thinker in ancient China. He inherited and developed Confucian's 'benevolence'. He was the first thinker to put forward the 'policy of benevolence' and developed it into a complete feudal ideology system of politics and philosophy. The 'policy of benevolence' forwarded by Mencius is rich in its content and has far-reaching influence. Today, we take and inherit the rational core of this ideology critically. It is of much importance for the socialism morality construction and the Party's construction.
