王统照深受鲁迅的影响,他与鲁迅有许多直接的亲切交往,但更主要的是“神交”。他对鲁迅的小说创作有天然的敏感期待;对鲁迅的人格有天然的敬仰热爱;对鲁迅的爱情婚姻观有天然的理解和认同。这是因为他们有很多相似的家庭生活背景和文学创作道路;他们都是忧国忧民的现代知识分子;又都具有余英时所说的传统的“宗教承当精神”。

Wang Tong zhao was deeply affected by Lu Xun.He had much intimate intercourse with Lu Xun,and above all more intercourse between them is in the aspects of the spirits. He expected sensitively to the creation of Lu Xun's fictions.He admired Lu Xun's character and personality naturally.And he naturally comprehended and approved Lu Xun's perspective about love and marriage.It was because that they were more similar about the background of the life of the family and in the way of the literary creation,and that they were not only both the modern intellectuals who worried about the people and the nation, but also had the traditional“religious bearable spirits'which Yu Ying shi had ever said.
