In this paper,the current situation of environment al protection for iron and steel industry in our country is analyzed.Existing chie f problems in energy economy and environmental protection are pointed out.Major objectives and countermeasures of energy economy and environmental protection in the later period of “tenth five ages plan” are put forward.
