This paper aims to defend the possibility of the existence of laws in social science by analyzing the reasons against this possibility. The conclusion is that, according to the contemporary view of laws, laws in social science don't differ from laws in natural science, even can't be explicitly distinguished from rules in social science. So I suggest that laws and rules in social science are in the same continuum, rules is at the edge of the bracer of laws and one aim of social science is to gradually amend those rules in different scopes to laws with more explanation force.
