Eco-cultural Criticism: the Spirit of the Western and the Global Consciousness

摘要自20世纪后期起,美国的"生态批评"在美国西部大学中得到相当的响应并广为传之,它在对"人与自然"关系的研究中既反映了美国固有的西部文化传统,也体现了当代文化批评的开拓精神和全球意识;在中国当今的生态建设中,文学文本、传统意义、日常生活等方面,都可以看到生态与人文的密切关系;"全球意识下的生态文化批评"是一个亟需开拓的文化研究领域。 Since the late twentieth century, 'Eco-criticism' in the US has found tremendous response first from the universities in the western America and then spread nationwide, reflecting the traditional spirit of the American western culture in terms of relationship between 'human and nature'. This trend also suggests a global consciousness and has considerable significance in the eco-construction in contemporary China. The article analyzes the development of eco-cultural criticism in literature and culture, stressing that 'eco-cultural criticism with a global consciousness' is an important approach and rewarding domain in cultural studies today.
