This paper presents firstly that modem library will be of complex type between digitalized information and printed documents for a long time, and from which the importance of books purchase study is illustrated; then the strategies of books purchase for higher learning institutions and study approaches (investigation, statistics and evaluation, etc) are submitted, together with purchase focus.
