摘要
借鉴西方文论英美新批评中的"悖论"观来探讨海明威小说中人物性格的共有特征:逃避与行动.逃避与行动表面上矛盾的两个方面在海明威小说中人物身上同时出现,并在其人物性格的道德张力上统一起来;在形式逻辑上不能同真的两个判断在艺术思维上得以成立,并获得了一定的认识论意义.
The paper probes into the shared characteristics — escapism and action — of Hemingway's characters by the means of paradox of Anglo American New Criticism. Escapism and action appear simultaneously in Hemingway's characters and are in accordance within their moral tension and furthermore achieve a certain meaning in epistemology.
