Marx’s conception of metabolism was derived from the Ge rman chemist J.V.LieBig at his time. Marx mainly uses this conception in three d ifferent places, i.e. the nature, the relationship between human being and natur e, the human being society. the Conceptions of life、Labour、commodity exchange and rift are connected with the use of the conception of metabolism. Revealing a nd developing the conception of Marx’s metabolism helps us understand comprehen sively the materialist conception of history and the contemporary meaning of Mar x thought, helps us find the ways of solving the conflicts of human and nature a nd in the Society.
