The learner's cultural background may e xe rt influence upon his thinking mode.This kind of influence is likely to produce negative effects upon the English learner in some respects.It lies with the te acher to prevent learning motivation,teacher-student relationship,learning ef fect and students'participation in classroom activities from being negatively a ffected by the traditional thinking modes,so as to improve teaching quality and achieve the obtainment of good teaching effect.
