It introduces a method to calculate cocoon’superficial area based on image processing in thispaper. Namely, it gets many images of cocoons with high-speed shooting. Then transfers these graphes toblack and white ones. By counting the pixels of these graphes it can reflect accurately the cocoonsuperficial area. This method is highly precise and feasible in practice, which establishes a theoreticbase for testing the cocoon qualities without destruction.
