加拿大政府高度重视电子商务和网络经济的发展,投入了巨资和人力,使电子商务在全国范围内迅速发展和普及,电子商务交易额已跃居全球第二位,仅次于美国。现今加拿大在网络基础设施、多媒体技术、全球客户服务、远程教育和医疗服务、网页工具开发等五方面已处国际领先地位。2003年,加拿大全国电子商务销售额达到1560亿加元,并将在因特网经济行业提供18万个新的就业机会。从1998年起至今,中国的大部分电子商务是非支付型电子商务,即网上营销,网下支付;小部分是支付型电子商务,即网上营销,网上支付。
The paper aims to make comparative study of the e-commerce growth between China and Canada. It points out that Canada has seen fast growth in its e-commerce market in the recent years and its B2B turnout is 5 times that of B2C, which has grown into the second largest market in the world. Canada's e-commerce growth, with trading amount reaching billions of Canadian dollars in 2003, greatly promotes economic development and increases job vacancies. Most items of China's e-commerce business, since 1998, have been the non-payment type, namely the online marketing and offline payment while its online payment only takes a small percentage.
