"人生的艺术化"是朱光潜美育思想的核心观念。朱光潜认为,"人生的艺术化"意味着人生的情趣化、超脱化、道德化和完满化。在朱光潜看来,文艺能够怡情养性,有助于人生情趣化的实现;要实现人生的情趣化,还必须以超脱的精神观照人生和创造人生;美育为德育的必由之径,因而艺术化的生活即道德化的生活;人生的艺术化还意味着人生的完满化,只有通过全面的教育培养出全面完满的人,才能创造出真正完满的、艺术化的生存。

Life's poeticizing is the core idea of Zhu Guangqian's thought of aesthetic education. In Zhu Guangqian's opinion, poeticized life means a tasteful, transcendent, moral and create life.Zhu Guangqian thinks that art can please affection and nurture nature, helping to realize a tasteful life; that to realize a tasteful life, we must appreciate and create life with a transcendent spirit; that aesthetic education creates a certain path towards moral education, so poeticized life means moralized life; and that only through integrated education can we foster complete and perfect souls, who can create a real poetic life.
