The Digital Divide between East and West China against a Global Context

随着全球化和新经济的崛起。数字鸿沟问题受到世界各国和地区的广泛关注。本文在梳理数字鸿沟的含义和类型的基础上,描述分析了目前我国东西部地区之间数字鸿沟的现状,并从社会学关于全球与地方关系的理论切入,分析了我国东西部地区之间数字鸿沟的实质;从时空伸延所形塑的现代社会制度“脱域”和“再嵌入”机制.以及西部地区具体的地方空间与信息流动空间的关系入手,探讨了西部地区跨越数字鸿沟的可能性。

The paper is an investigation, from a sociological perspective, of the digital divide that prevails in China between the eastern and the western parts and an analysis, based on a scientific definition of the term, of the nature of such divide. The paper concludes that if given due consideration such divide may be transcended with full efficacy.
