Two Necessities of Epoch-Making Significance: the Argument Focused by China's Three-Gerneration Leaders

在全面建设小康社会的历史进程中,胡锦涛先后两次发表重要讲话,向全党强调了牢记"两个务必"的现实意义。探讨了党的三代领导人在不同时期,根据党所面临的历史任务对"两个务必"的深刻阐述和赋予的新内涵,着重分析了毛泽东关于"两个务必"思想提出的历史背景、邓小平对"两个务必"思想的继承以及江泽民对"两个务必"思想的发展,从而阐明了党的三代领导人坚持和发展"两个务必"思想的时代意义。

In the historical process of building a well-off society in an all-round way,Hu Jintao, general secretary of CPC, has ever delivered two important addresses to the whole party members in order to emphasize bearing the Two Necessities in mind. Here the Two Necessities is a wellknown argument to the effect that all CPC members must keep to modesty and prudence and must hold to the spirit of overcoming all hardships and obstructions for ever. The argument has important significance to reinforce and improve the conduct building of the Party. It was proposed first by Mao Zedong and confirmed once more by Deng Xiaoping then developed by Jiang Zemin.The epoch-making significance of the argument that have been focusing on by party leaders generation by generation is discussed in detail.
