This article introduced the production of cold rolled (wide) strip in China, the foreign technology used in cold rolled (wide) strip production history and its developing trend, put forward the problems and drawbacks existing in currently domestic production of the cold rolled strip, the surface-coated strip, etc, predicated of the consumer's demands for the cold rolled strip in 2005 and 2010, and brought out the author's views and suggestions on future development of cold rolled strip and surface-coated strip in China.
