Economic globalization and the urban landuse growth of Wuhan city: a pilot study

经济全球化使武汉市城市土地利用发生了深刻的变化,“大都市全球化理论”认为:在城市土地利用的变化中,经济发展起到了关键性作用.不同的经济发展水平和模式,使城市土地利用扩展呈现不同的空间特征.运用“大都市全球化理论”和GIS的空间分析功能对20世纪90年代的武汉市城市土地利用扩展特征进行了初步的量化研究,结果表明,20世纪90年代,武汉市城市土地利用扩展的空间特征和形成机制与“大都市全球化理论”中的全球城(B)型土地利用扩展的空间特征和形成机制相符.

With the economic globalization, the urban landuse pattern of Wuhan city has been changing significantly. Introduce the initial results from a pilot study on urban landuse growth of Wuhan city in the 1990s. This study is primarily based on the theory of metropolis globalization. Spatial and attributes data are organized in GIS and spatial analysis functions of GIS are applied. The results show that the spatial features and forming mechanisms of urban landuse of Wuhan city in the 1990s coincided with global - cities (B) in the theory of metropolis globalization.
