在《左传》、《国语》中,伍子胥故事仅是零星记载,并不完整独立;经过《韩非子》、《吕氏春秋》的集中加工,伍子胥形象开始丰满,事迹的叙述也有了故事化倾向;司马迁以其传神之笔,使故事独立且渐趋完整,带有明显的文学色彩;《越绝书》的进一步渲染至《吴越春秋》基本定型,完成了演变的轨迹。后世小说、戏曲创作基本上是在这一基础上进行的。
WU Zi-xu′s Story is only fragmentary record and uncomplete and depent in Zuozhuan and Guoyu. WU Zi-xu′s portrait begins to be full and the narration of the story tends to be the story amassed and polished by Lvshi Chunqiu;Sima Qian makes the story indpent and complete so that the story has legendary flavour.Lightened by Yuejueshu and formed by Wuyue Chunqiu the story comes into being.Then the novels and the traditional operas are conducted on this base.
