Mechanism of Chronic Gastritis Treated by Chaiping Tang

柴平汤为《伤寒论》小柴胡汤与《太平惠民和剂局方》平胃散合方而成。小柴胡汤调畅枢机 ,促进人体的新陈代谢 ,使邪气尽快排除 ,正气尽快恢复 ,气机的升降出入恢复正常 ,是对人体的整体调节 ;平胃散燥湿健脾 ,和胃消食 ,针对胃之局部病变 ,祛除胃中有形之邪。二方合用 ,则整体与局部兼顾 ,扶正与祛邪并举。

Chaiping Tang is composed of Xiaochaihu Tang in Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Pingwei San in Prescription of Peaceful Benevolent Dispensary. Xiaochaihu Tang is used to regulate key parts of the body and promote the body's metabolism. It may remove the pathogenic factors, recover the vital-qi immediately, and make nomal the ascending and descending of the functional activities of qi, which is the complete regulation to human body. Pingwei San can eliminate dampness to strengthen the spleen, regulate the stomach and promote digestion. And to the local pathologic change, Pingwei San can eliminate the specific pathogenic factors in the stomach. If the two prescriptions are used together the local parts and the whole part of the body may be concerned, and eliminating pathogenic factors and supporting healthy energy can be operated at the same time.
