Appreciating the literary works plays a very important part in Chinese teaching of Senior High School. Tasting the language is one of the most important sectors. And we can start with the following: understanding the words and expressions, making a comparison of the patterns and comprehending the rhetoric. Then we can use three ways: understanding the surface meaning, grasping the deep meaning and comprehending the purpose of the expression. What is more, we must follow the principle of 'Four Combinations.
