Ningbo Municipal People抯 Government insists on achieving the modernization of agriculture and countryside as the key of its rural development, which takes economic construction as the breakthrough of rural development and takes increasing income for farmers as its major way. Meanwhile Ningbo Municipal People抯 Government actively expands rural industry and service trades, carries out a serial of reforms in accordance with the guidance of market economy and brings about the integration and harmonious development of city and countryside in which government plays a leading role. Now it has set up a distinctive rural developmental model. The article discusses the content of the rural developmental model of Ningbo and analyses its cause and finally puts forwards some suggestions of rural development in Ningbo in the future.
