越南和好教初探

A Preliminary Study of Hoahaoism

和好教是 2 0世纪 30年代在越南南部新出现的宗教 ,对南部人民有着重大影响 ,是南部主要宗教之一。它虽自称为佛教 ,但实质上是佛教与充满儒教伦理的民族传统观念相结合的产物。它的产生和发展反映了当时的社会现实与人们的心理需求。对和好教的探讨 ,有助于我们了解越南人民的宗教信仰乃至了解越南民族的传统文化。

Hoahaoism appeared in the southern part of Vietnam in the 1930's. It has strongly influenced the lives of the people there,and consequently become one of the religions prevailing in southern Vietnam. Although Hoahaoism regards itself as a part of Buddhism,it has essentially grown up as a combination of Buddhism and the traditional national concepts mostly based on Confucian ethics. The emergence and the growth of Hoahaoism reflect the social reality and the spiritual needs of the local people. An exploration into Hoahaoism helps us learn more about the faith and even the traditional culture of the whole Vietnamese people.
