The first in China imported off-gas analysis system on 150 t BOF of Benxi Steel is presented, and slopping prediction and control by off-gas analysis has been studied. The conclusions are: CO,CO 2 and N 2 contents in off-gas change regularly during blowing, reflecting the change in slag indirectly; O s is an effective index representing the progress of reaction in BOF, and it is effective for prediction and control of slopping and abnormality with dC/dO and O s model.
