The researches on botanic samples from the Longshui gold field and the background area show that Au content in leaf ash of Cunninghamia lanceolata, Pinus massoniana and Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum in the gold field is 135, 111 and 147 times as much as that in the background area, respectively; and Cu and Pb contents in leaf ash of these three types of plants in the gold field are 12, 8, 11 and 11, 11, 14 times as much as that in the background area, respectively. Au content in ash of Brassica Chinese and Brassica juncea planted in the rich Au soil is 229, 205 times as much as that in natural/normal soil, respectively. By the electron microscope observation, the aberrance effect of cell tissue of plants vegetated in the rich Au (and other elements) soil is obvious. There is much high electron density substance and the superfine configuration in the cell is damnified. High electron density substance in the cell of plants in gold field is rich in Au (20.160%~37.321%) and Cu (3.828%~23.324%), with Pb and Ag anomalies, and that in the plant cell sample planted contain Au 34.969%. It may be concluded that Au (Cu, Pb, Ag, etc.) may deposit within the botanic cell tissue in the form of high electron density substance.
