Sequence Analysis of Mutant Myostatin Gene in Charolais

利用PCR法克隆了夏洛来肉牛抑肌素突变基因第二外显子,序列分析结果表明:突变基因与正常基因相比较,存在1个单碱基突变(C→A),从而使该基因表达产物———抑肌素的氨基酸序列发生变异,形成双肌性状。

The exon2 of mutant myostatin gene in Charolais was amplified and cloned. Sequence analysis showed that there is C→A mutation in the mutant gene compared with the normal gene, which leads to the amino acid sequence mutation in its translation product myostatin and the double-muscle trait.
