Upholding and Developing the Advancement of the Working Class

工人阶级是我们党的阶级基础。工人阶级的先进性有一个内部结构,这个结构的原始起点就是大公无私和集体主义,有了大公无私和集体主义,才有了组织性和纪律性。但是这些先进性,在市场经济条件下受到了不同程度的挑战,这些挑战有的来自工人阶级外部,有的来自工人阶级自身。对于我们党来讲,无论什么样的挑战都有损于党的阶级基础,都有损于党与工人群众的关系,都应该采取积极措施加以避免和克服。

The working class is the class basis of our party. Its advancements are as follows: unselfishness, collectivism, and obey discipline. But in the market economy, these advancements confront challenges of different degree, some of which come from the outside of the working class, and some of which come from the working class itself. Our party must take measures to avoid and overcome these challenges because they will destroy the relationship betwwen our party and the mass.
