摘要
“西进运动”为美国19世纪经济的全面变革和发展准备了条件,并最终导致了一个现代美国的诞生。 在美国从“农业时代”向“工业时代”迈进,逐步实现工业化的过程中,铁路运输发挥了举足轻重的作用。本文试从美国西部的铁路建设情况、美国政府在其中的作用及由此而建成的全国的铁路网的影响等方面对铁路对于美国经济的作用加以阐述。
Western movement' offered some foundations for American developing economy in the 19th century and lead to a modern America. The train played an important role during the time that America strove from 'Agriculture Time' to 'Industry Time' and industrialization was realized in the USA. They are stressed in the essay such as situation of train building, the effect of the government and the influence of the internal railway net to American economics.
