Chinese Farmer's Disadvantageous Situation of Information in Production and Management

中国农民在生产经营中处于信息弱势地位。农民在生产经营中的信息弱势地位形成的主要原因是农村社区环境相对封闭,农民文化程度普遍较低,农民支付不起较高的信息成本,农业信息供给不足,涉农信息传播的渠道不畅通。要改变这种状况,首先要建立一个全国农业信息网;其次要发展农村教育事业,提高农民接受信息的能力;最后运用多种手段发展涉农传播业。

Chinese farmers are in a disadvantage situation of information in production and management. The main reasons are as the followings .The environment of rural community is closed, the education level of farmers is very low, and farmers cannot afford for the high cost of acquiring information; information supply is not enough and channel of information is blocked. To change the situation, firstly, an information network should be set up. Secondly, rural education should be developed. The last, communication business of agriculture should be developed.
