对亚洲最重要的电影国家——日本的电影历史进行了描述和清理,简约之中兀显出日本电影在产业构成、艺术创作、技术演进等层面的演变发展全貌,并对从“松竹”、“女性电影”,“日活”、“男性电影”到“影像派”、“社会派”源流的形成以及日本电影走向国际、独立电影勃兴的电影现实,作出了清晰的勾划和评述。

Japan is the most important movie - producing country in Asia. After we have briefly described and cleaned up the history of Japanese movies, we can see the evolvement panorama of the industry structure, the artistic creation and the technical development of the Japanese movies. This article gives a distinct sketch and comments on the reality of the Japanese movies from the Shochiku and the female - film, the Nikkat-su and the male - film to the origination and development of the image school and the society school, and the reality of Japanese movies moving towards internationalization and of the flourishing Independent Movie.
