The Research of “Xuetian” of Guangdong in Qing Dynasty

大量资料表明,传统的关于广东学田数量的记载是错误的。清代广东学田来源方式多种多样,其中以官府拨置和捐献为主。关于学田的经营管理,政府没有统一的规定,其管理方式灵活多样。但无论采取那种方式,政府都要利用行政手段进行干预,以确保学田的租税收入。

This paper used much historical material to research 'Xuetian' of Guangdong in Qing Dynasty . Firstly, the paper thought that the quantity of 'Xuetian' of Guangdong many scholars said before was wrong . Furthermore, The paper estimated the quantity again. Secondly, the paper exhaustively told the source of 'uetian' in Qing Dynasty. The land was mainly appropriated by the government and donated by some officials and landlords. The last problem is about the managing of 'Xuetian'. Although there were many types of management, the government always paid much attention to the operation of 'Xuetian' in order to ensure the income.
