1927—1937年湖北耕地面积数量考察——南京国民政府前期湖北田赋研究之一

Inspection on the Number of Cultivation Areas of Hubei Province from 1927 to 1937——One Research of Hubei Land Tax at Earlier Stage of the Nanjing Nationalist

由于受到技术手段、人为因素等条件的限制,湖北省地方当局对1927-1937年全省耕地面积统计数量前后差异甚大。本文依据有关档案文献资料,首先指出湖北省地方当局统计的耕地面积数字仍未摆脱纳税单位的性质,并进而指出这种统计数字的不真实性,最后在此基础上根据有关资料,推算出本期湖北耕地面积的总数当在七千万亩左右。其意义在于,弄清这一时期湖北耕地面积总数,不仅对正确估量抗战前全省农业生产发展水平、农民的田赋负担,而且对正确认识这一时期农村社会矛盾的复杂性,都是有所帮助。

Because of the limits of technical means and people's reason, the difference of cultivation areas on statistics is very big from 1927 to 1937 in local authorities of Hubei. According to the documents of some files, this paper emphasized on the number of cultivation areas and still can't cast off taxing organization in Hubei local authorities. It also points out the false of the statistics. In the end, on the base of some materials, this paper also calculats the whole cultivation areas is about seventy million Mu. Whole purpose is to make clear of whole number of Hubei cultivation areas in this period, which not only calculates the developing level of agricultural production and peasants' land tax burden of Hubei province, but also knows the complexity of social contradiction in country before the AntiJapanese War. Both of them are very necessary. 
