沈从文的小说创作深受中国传统文化的浸润,其作品的内在旨趣与审美取向很大程度上是传统文化精神的一种复活。由于荆楚文化与沈从文所倾心留恋的湘西文化有着明显的同源性,因而,其小说表现出特有的对荆楚文化的精神体认与审美趋同。
