The Course of Modernization of the Chinese Folk Public Welfare

中国民间公益事业的前身不是小共同体公益,而是社邑这种特殊形式。中国内部是小共同体公益继承、突破大共同体公益兴起;外部,西方式现代公益模式渐入中国,形成了被认为是西方传统的公益模式与公民社会公益共存的独特局面。同时,近代中国多元的政治力量支持不同的制度因而形成不同的公益组织,它们的发展各具特色。中国民间公益近代化具有多元影响,呈现多元特色。

The predecessor of Chinese folk public welfare is not the good of the small community, but the special form like She Yi. In the modern age the good of the small community was on the upgrade by succeeding and breaking through the good of the large of community inside China; and outside the modern pattern of the West' s public welfare was gradually disseminated so that in China, the West traditional pattern of the public welfare coexisted with the good of the civil society. In modem times, the multi-element political powers bolstered up different systems, different public welfare organizations took shape and each had its own characteristics. Therefore, influnced by various factors, the modernization of Chinese folk public welfare presents multi-features.
